About Nivedita Eye Care

Nivedita eye care is a comprehensive superspeciality eye centre located in rural Bengal, a place in the district of Bankura. Also very near to 'Joyrambati', the birth place of Sarada ma.

It is our dream project. The ideologies of Dr Suprakash Roy guided him to bring light to his birthplace. The very place which was devoid of even electricity and proper road infrastructure when he left for medical education. Here people have to travel 100 kms for basic heath- care. So realising the gravity of the situation we started practice in a rental chamber. Soon we anticipated the need for multispeciality eyecare centre with an well equipped specialised operation theatre, thus giving birth to NEC in December, 2016.

The centre cater services to an area of 50 kms or more. Our major area of focus is preventing blindness from corneal ulcers, cataracts along with comprehensive glaucoma and retina services. Raising awarness among people and teaching them the very basics of eye-health. To our utmost pleasure we have successfully walked a long way with immense cooperation from all. We hope to design a stronger and even more equipped centre in future.
